you remember who i was
see me now
like im nothing at all
but im proud of who i am
how ive grown
speak like you know it all
but everything is nothing
we all fall
so far
so short
the bar was raised too high
im not too proud to say i cry
its a lonely life
but i know who stands by my side
give up
it is no more
the bar was raised too high
we all fall short
Bullets fire foolishly
as if they could pierce me
no weight, sound, or strength
still they fire
tirelessly
Hey all! I’m back after a brief hiatus. It was nice to be off and just clear my head for a bit. I feel like I fell into a rut and had to pull myself out somehow. I hate that feeling but I love it, because its what drives me to step out of my comfort zone. I’ve been dabbling in paint a little and working on a few different things. I don’t know where I’m going with it yet, but I know its going to be f*cking great! Perhaps I will show you all later. Sorry this is more of a journal entry, but I just wanted to update everyone. Also, I will be posting twice a week from now on. I havent decided what days, but I will let you all know. Thanks for following ~Lady T
The more I dabble in art and photography, the more I learn about perspective. The power of perspective amazes me because it reaches far beyond art. Life is all about perspective. The way we think about things becomes the way we see things, and the way we see things becomes the way we react to them. Our perspective makes us who we are. It determines the path we take.
To a person with ordinary perspective, most things in life are just that, ordinary. It takes something profoundly dramatic for them to see something beyond that. A tree it just a tree. A hand is just a hand. Few things are meaningful or inspiring. An ordinary perspective is enough to take us through life, but I have a feeling we were meant for more than that. We were meant to live. To breathe, to move, to speak life. To be something beyond the ordinary. To color outside the lines of structure and gravity. To believe in life.
For the past few months, I have reached for something beyond the ordinary, I have found life to be more than I could’ve imagined. To be beautiful. To be inspiring. I have found every instrument plays a part in the most wonderous symphony. I have learnt to embrace life and the part I play in it… knowing things could change at any moment. For better or for worse, but all for a reason bigger than myself.
There are no answers to everything, but all things come together in time. Perspective plays a big part in how we live our lives. The best thing about perspective is, if you don’t like yours you can always change it. To change something you must know what it is and what you want it to be. So tell me, what do you see?
darkness falls like fate
still i am unfraid
for i believe in hope
i believe in faith
i believe light conquers
always
